Installation

Install Koeva from the official Windows package and prepare the application for your first transcription.

Install Koeva

  1. Download Koeva from the official website.
  2. Open the downloaded installer and follow the Windows installation prompts.
  3. Choose the transcription model that matches the computer. Base and Small are lighter; Large v3 Turbo q8 is the default recommendation for stronger PCs.
  4. Launch Koeva from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.
  5. Allow the first launch to finish loading the local speech model.

First launch

The first startup can take longer than later launches because Koeva prepares the selected local model. Keep the app open until the interface is ready.

After installation

  • Restart Koeva after installing a new graphics driver.
  • Keep enough free SSD space for the app, shared components, and the selected local model.
  • Check the troubleshooting guide if transcription stays pending for more than expected.
